Amanda and I went out last night and got stuff for the pinata, squirt guns, and kites. It turned out to be a great to fly a kite. It was a little hard to get started but once the kite was in the air it was flying high. Emily was a pro and the smile on her face was the best thing.
Once all the kids got there and played on the playground for a bit it was time to eat. Brian grilled up some burgers and hotdogs. Landen thought he was hot stuff getting to sit at the table like a big boy.
So we ate and then here comes the cake. Amanda left it in the box so it wouldnt get messed up. Well try to family tradition Brian decides to "help" get the cake ready. Good thing it was still in the box because he dropped it. He was about the same age when my mom did that to his cake. So i guess he wanted to see if you would really do it on accident!!!
Then it was time for the pinata. However, no one had actually thought about how or where we were going to hang it. Brian thought if he held up Amanda they could tie it to the edge of the pavillion. She was just a few inches to short so she said try me. I started to be like sure no problem then i remembered all the "nice" things I did to my brother when we were younger. I did try but man that ground looked a lot harder once i was 10 feet in the air. There was now way it was getting up there.

We finally got the pinata up and Kensie made the fatal blow. It was time to clean go home and take a nap before birthday dinner. After the kids got to rest we let Emily choose where to go for dinner and the was Chilis. Once dinner was over it was time for a trip to Build A Bear and the nail salon.
Today was a great day and I cant believe Emily is 4 already. She is a trip and a half.
