The Boise River Experience

I can know say we have been white water rafting. Ok so the white water parts were calm enough for Landen it was still exciting! Today we went down the Boise River. The river was FREEZING. The river is so clear because it is from all the snow that melts of the mountain in the summer. We split into two boats. Brian with the girls and Amanda, Landen and me in the other. We had a slow start and Landen was not sure about being in the boat and then Brian proceeded to try and scare Kensie. Once we went over the first section of white water everyone calmed down and started enjoying the day.

Landen saw Kensie "helping" Brian paddle so he thought I should do that too! He is so his PaPa's grandson.

Brian and the girls. As you can see Kensie was just chillin.

We stopped at the army navy surplus to get hats like Bubba had!

At about the half way point there was a small island were we stopped and got out for a short dip. While my feet were going numb i noticed a crawfish. Brian tried his hardest to catch it but had no success. You could see it clear as day until you stuck your hand in the water. The current was making so many ripples from the hand that you couldnt see anymore. By this time Landen had passed out! I know it looks bad but even when I tried to move him he went right back to this position.

Me and Kensie on the River

The current in the river was very strong and the rough section directly behind us in the picture is where Amanda let a tree attack me ;) It was really Brian's fault since he pushed us off the rocks and right towards the shore. Even with a few tree bites we all had so much fun. If we would have started a little earlier in the day I think we would have done it again. This was one of the highlights of the trip.
